Newark Liberty International Airport

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is the country's oldest airfield, and has been in operation since it opened in 1928. As a major hub for United Airlines, the airport is one of the busiest in the country, and boasts three terminals that serve more than 34 million domestic and international passengers each year and is only 14 miles from New York City.

Parking -

Short term parking lots charge $4 per ½-hour, with a $28 daily maximum; Long term parking lots charge $18 for the first 24 hours, then $6 for each 8 hour period after.

Travelers can take advantage of several transportation choices at Newark Airport (EWR). Hop aboard the AirTrain for fast and easy transportation to NJ transit, Amtrak rail lines and car rental facilities or trips into Manhattan and Philadelphia. The Newark Airport Express offers bus service to NYC and NJ Transit offers public bus service to locations throughout the city. The airport also offers taxi service and shared van transportation. Safe, secure short- and long-term parking and valet parking is available on site, and restricted mobility lots are available for visitors with valid permits.

Car Rentals

EWR offers car rentals from each of the top National rental agencies. Car rental sites are easily accessible from the airport’s terminal via the AirTrain system. Travelers using Avis, Enterprise, Hertz, or National should exit at Station P3. Travelers using Budget or Dollar should exit at Station P2. Advanced reservations are highly recommended.
