Drew University’s History

The University has a rich history that began in 1836 when steamboat industrialist, William Gibbons, constructed a Greek revival antebellum-style mansion on an estate of 95 acres. In 1867, railroad tycoon, Daniel Drew purchased the estate and established a theological seminary that trained Methodist ministers. The university maintained its place solely as a seminary school until it expanded and opened the undergraduate liberal arts college in 1928.

Fairleigh Dickinson University Programs

Founded in 1942, this private university offers over 100 individual degree programs to more 12,000 students at four different campuses. Fairleigh Dickenson is highly regarded for its unique international programs offered at its campuses in Vancouver, British Columbia and in Wroxton, Oxfordshire, England.
