HAMILTON PARK HOTEL & CONFERENCE CENTER
Florham Park, NJ

National Salvation Army's Prestigious Advisory Board Meeting Held at Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center

Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center, one of the leading conference centers in the northeast and managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, was the selected site for this year's meeting of the National Advisory Board for the National Salvation Army. The Board, which is comprised of representatives of many of the country's Fortune 500 companies and other high-profile businessmen, met April 20-22 at the New Jersey-based property. The meeting coincided with the retirement of National Commander W. Todd Bassett, who chaired the Board meeting for the last time.

"We're very proud that the Salvation Army again selected us as the destination for the gathering of such a prestigious group," said Joe Crimmins, Managing Director of the Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center, which was the site of the Salvation Army's International Leaders Conference a year ago. "We are also pleased that they could experience our newly renovated meeting rooms and conference space. Our conference services staff ensured that their meeting experience was in keeping with the exemplary services for which we are well known."

"The Salvation Army's National Advisory board meetings brought together very busy and very important people who volunteer their time and counsel to our organization, and it was important that we found a venue to make that as smooth a process as possible," said Major George Hood, National Community Relations Secretary for The Salvation Army. "The Hamilton Park Hotel was highly regarded after our International Leader's Conference and was a natural choice for this tri-annual event."

The hotel's newly renovated conference space, completed this month, now features 40 soundproof and technologically advanced meeting rooms for groups up to 300. The Conference Center is designed for effective communications in virtually every hi-tech medium, and is ideally suited for conferences, seminars, and training.

In addition, it offers a computer resource room with six computer stations and three laptop hook-up stations. Other meeting options include stage, sound system, high-speed and/or wireless Internet access, 20 LCD projectors, 12 multi-function plasma monitors, full inventory of microphone and teleconferencing systems, television/video playback equipments, whiteboards and more.

Set on 13 acres of rolling woodlands in New Jersey's historic Morristown, Hamilton Park is not far from New York City, yet far from the daily interruptions and frenetic pace of office life. This serene setting, just 20 minutes from Newark International Airport, offers the peacefulness that will open meeting guests' minds as it has for many Fortune 500 companies. A brand new 18-passenger bus is also available to shuttle clients to and from surrounding corporate headquarters and local golf courses, as well as for shopping on weekends.

Recently honored with this year's "Paragon Award" from Corporate Meetings and Incentives Magazine as one of the 10 best conference centers in the United States, Hamilton Park & Conference Center presents a beautiful setting for corporate gatherings, social occasions, weddings and leisure stays. The hotel features 219 luxurious guest rooms and suites, 40 meeting rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a comprehensive fitness club, a range of dining options and a full-service business center.
