Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center Named One Of 2006-2007 NJ Smart Workplaces And Best Workplace For Commuters

FLORHAM PARK, NJ, May 25, 2007 -- Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center, managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, has been recognized by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) as one of New Jersey's 2006-2007 NJ Smart Workplaces and Best Workplaces for Commuters. The award-winning property joins 138 other New Jersey employers also honored.

Hamilton Park partnered with NJDOT to secure van pick-up and drop-off for staff commuting by train. "Many of our staff would not be able to work here without the offer of transportation to and from the train station," Crimmins continued. "They now take the NJDOT van. The cost is minimal and pre-tax, so it's not only convenient, it's also cost effective for our employees, which makes them and us happy." Over 30% of the hotel's 240 employees participate in the program.

New Jersey companies that meet the Best Workplaces for Commuters National Standard of Excellence must provide a monthly transit pass subsidy or van pool subsidy of at least $30, a significant telecommuting program, cash in lieu of free or subsidized parking or another set of benefits proposed by an employer and accepted by Best Workplaces for Commuters.
