Testimonials
JoAnne,
I just wanted to say thank you again for everything you did for us for our wedding. The whole day was wonderful and you made every step of the way easy and enjoyable. Bill and I were both so impressed with how you took our ideas and made them happen, and also how friendly everyone at the hotel was. From checking in until the end of the party everyone treated us so nicely and we felt that we were in great hands.
We heard countless times how great the service was, how great the food was, how great the rooms were, etc. We were just as impressed with the quality of everything, including that amazing room we were in! My only regret is that I didn't get to try more food, since what I had was delicious.
Thank you so much for being such a big help and giving us such a perfect and fun wedding day and please extend our thanks to everyone involved. We are so happy with our entire experience at the hotel!
Best,
Jackie (and Bill)
I was married on 5/12 at the Hamilton Park Hotel, and everything was absolutely perfect. The rooms, the food, the staff all top notch. Joanne Mitchko took care of Jamies wedding and was so helpful. She made many wonderful suggestions and I don't know what we would have done without her.
At the reception, your wait staff was exceptional, and completely exceeded all expectations. Everyone was so helpful, especially Scott and Jessica. They went above and beyond to make this special day even better. I could not have asked for a better event. Your staff made everything about this day so special that the memories will last a lifetime. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Viernickel/Straube Wedding (May 12, 2012)
INCREDIBLE!!!! Joanne, Kate, Scot, Tara, Jessica, and everyone on staff here made our entire wedding experience phenomenal. From the 1st day we came to look at the hotel, we loved the modern look of the venue and the ballroom and just how incredibly organized the staff was. We originally had started working with Kate and after she changed positions, we worked with Joanne. I cant even put into words how helpful she was. She knew absolutely everything we wanted on our wedding day and made it happen. It was the most beautiful wedding ever! Joanne even went out of her way to color coordinate the cocktail hour flowers for me to match the rest of my wedding. I had quite a few DIY items I wanted displayed in certain ways for our wedding and they all were absolutely perfect the day of.
The staff listens to every single concern and request you may have and makes sure they take care of it. On the day of the wedding, every single guest was attended to right away, the food is out of this world amazing, and the wedding ran absolutely perfectly thanks to Joanne and all the wonderful staff. And we LOVED having our wedding at this hotel- we had an amazing afterparty at Vanderbilts so the party didn't have to stop and everyone was able to have a beautiful (and delicious) breakfast the next day in the hotel as well. I felt like we had an amazing wedding weekend with all our guests instead of just a rushed reception. I would HIGHLY recommend having your wedding here- you cant go wrong and they will make sure you have an absolutely amazing day! They also only do one wedding per day, which we loved and so many of our guests continue to say this is the "best wedding they have ever been to!"
Palinski/Wade Wedding (June 11, 2011)
I was married two weeks ago at the Hamilton Park Hotel and I will never forget any of the people I worked with throughout the process. If you book your ceremony and reception there you will NOT be disappointed. I worked with JoAnne through the entire process and she was kind, helpful, patient, and extremely knowledgeable and honest. Those are all extremely important qualities while wedding planning! I was never frustrated and JoAnne worked with us on every last detail for our big day.
We had our rehearsal dinner there on Friday night. It was held in a beautiful private room that opened up to the back patio. We chose the Barbeque option and everyone RAVED about the idea. It was simple but delicious and exactly what we wanted. We didn't want a sit down dinner. We wanted to laugh and mingle with our guests and that was exactly what we got. The rehearsal itself was led by Scott who put all of my fears at ease and assured me that the day would be perfect....and it was.
The rooms were amazing. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The presidential suite is enormous and perfect for allowing a large bridal party to get ready before the wedding. The ceremony was gorgeous, held inside in the hotel as well. It was exactly what I had pictured and no detail was overlooked. The cocktail hour was excellent. The potato bar was a hit! I loved it because I didn't have to worry about getting anything on my dress :) The reception went smoothly. Not ONE thing went wrong. Scott and JoAnne were both there and checked in with us often. Maggie made sure our every need was noticed before we said a word. The guests loved the food, the venue, and said that every single person they encountered went above and beyond to make them comfortable. Many said it was the best wedding they had been to. Everyone loved having all of the events in one place. No driving needed! Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.
Broder/Borek Wedding (July 17, 2010)
We wanted to thank you for making our wedding day truly perfect. We were married on April 18, 2009 and could not have asked for a better day. Kate, our catering manager, was a pleasure to work with and we cannot begin to express our gratitude. The amount of time, effort and work she put forth to make our day a dream was incredible. There was absolutely nothing we had to worry about. She went above and beyond her job and we could not have asked for a better catering manager.
Scott, our banquet manager, was very attentive during the reception and was always available to assist with any request. He was well prepared and definitely is an asset to the Hamilton Park staff. The entire evening was run very smoothly.
The entire staff at Hamilton Park was more than accommodating to all of our family and friends. Everyone complimented on how nice the staff was and how well the entire weekend went.
One thing that cannot go without mentioning is the food. We got so many compliments regarding how great the food was at the cocktail hour as well as the dinner. This is something that we felt was very important, and it could have tasted any better. Everything was well prepared and exactly how we asked it to be.
Our wedding day was everything we could of imagined and more. It has been 6 months since our wedding and our family and friends still talk about the great time they had. It truly was a day to remember for all of us, thank you!
Cortney and Michael Piccolo (April 18, 2009)
After our beautiful wedding at the Hamilton Park Hotel on Saturday August 8, 2009, we wanted to thank everyone involved at the hotel and also spread the word about what a wonderful experience we had there.
When we first met with JoAnne to tour the Hamilton Park Hotel, we were so impressed by her that the thought of working with her to plan our wedding made it easy to choose the hotel for the reception. Making decisions from out of town turned out to be simple with Joanne and the Hamilton Park Hotel. Several times during the planning process, I emailed JoAnne with random questions and I had an immediate, kind response every time.
We met in Joanne's office a few months before the wedding to choose the menu, cake and finalize other details. The menu choices were fabulous and our guests later raved about the food, especially at the cocktail hour (the lamb chops, mini cheese steaks and strombolis were the biggest hits!) The hotel also provided a large selection of table linens, different chair cover ties, and a binder of different cake designs. The hotel also printed out menus for every place setting at the reception and had small vases of flowers and candles on the cocktail hour tables. JoAnne addressed every detail with a smile, and it was truly a joy to work with her. We never once felt nervous that we had forgotten something.
On the day of the wedding, the bridal party arrived at the hotel for the reception, and we were greeted immediately and escorted to a private room (with food and a full bar). Before the reception started, we took photos in the beautiful hotel courtyard that was in full bloom at the time. Those photos turned out to be the best of our entire wedding day.
Both the cocktail hour and the ballroom were beautiful for the reception. We loved that JoAnne snuck us away from the cocktail hour to catch a glimpse of the ballroom before the guests filed in. Our guests really enjoyed the outdoor patio bar during the cocktail hour.
For the entire length of the reception, we felt like we had a personal staff member assigned only to us. Our drinks were always re-filled, napkins were refolded every time we got up from our seats, and every request was kindly granted, even those guests who requested vegetarian meals. Our guests told us that they were blown away by the impeccable service and attentiveness of the staff!
Our guests also commented on how comfortable the rooms were. Those that stayed for the weekend took full advantage of the pool and those that took the train from New York were also very impressed with the ease of the shuttle service from Convent Station. The reception desk was happy to recommend local restaurants for our guests as well.
Vanderbilt's Bar was another reason that we chose the Hamilton Park for the wedding. Having several out of town guests that would be staying at the hotel, we loved that the bar was big enough to be a gathering place for everyone on both the night before and the night of the wedding. In fact, the staff at Vanderbilt's helped us to arrange a pre-paid drink special for our out of town guests the night before the wedding and it was a huge success. We stayed until closing time both Friday and Saturday night, none of our guests wanted to leave!
Finally, the "executive / bridal" suite was phenomenal. Had we known how enormous and luxurious it was, we would have wanted to spend more time there! We were sad to have to leave the room early in the morning to greet our guests at breakfast the day after the wedding. In addition, all of our gifts were transported to our room by the staff the night of the wedding, and we had a dessert tray and bottle of champagne waiting for us. We were completely spoiled!
We look back on our experience at the Hamilton Park Hotel and realize that there is absolutely nothing we would change. The service from start to finish was impeccable, the hotel was beautiful, our guests raved about everything, and we had a wonderful time. We hope that other brides and grooms in the area realize what a hidden gem the Hamilton Park Hotel is for a wedding.
Abby and Adam's Wedding (August 8, 2009)
Joanne, I can't thank you enough for your assistance in planning our wedding. In visiting other reception halls, the welcome was cold and impersonal - but with Hamilton Park, it's as if you become part of a family. Everyone worked to make the day go off without a hitch and I can't tell you the countless compliments we received regarding the beauty and comfort of the location, the delicious food, and the friendliest staff. Everyone who participated in the evening deserves a special thank you, and I hope you can pass along my gratefulness.
It was a weekend event, and from the moment we entered the hotel, our friends and family were treated as royalty. If we had a question, it was answered. If we needed something, you were able to provide it. The dedication, accountability and pride the staff at Hamilton Park exudes made the experience unlike any other. Every detail was covered to the last inch. I was even pleasantly surprised to see that the extra centerpieces were saved for the morning breakfast and paired with perfectly matched tablecloths - what a special way to carry over the most perfect evening into the next day!
Thank you again Joanne, and everyone else who contributed in making our wedding so memorable and PERFECT!!
Sincerely,Laura & Andy
Jason and I would like to thank Kate, JoAnne and all the staff at Hamilton Park who made our wedding reception absolutely wonderful. Everyone was fabulous.
We were married Sept. 19, 2009. However, we started researching possible locations for our reception nearly a year prior. When we met with Kate, we found her extremely friendly. She went over the packages available, all our options for dinner, as well as the set up of the ballroom and the beautiful garden area we could use for the entire cocktail hour and reception. Kate was so attentive to our needs and our desire for the reception to reflect our wishes that she made our decision to choose Hamilton Park a very easy one.
Whenever I had a question, my emails to Kate always received a prompt response. Several months before the wedding, Hamilton Park invited us to a food tasting, which really helped us with our menu choices. Kate also put us in contact with their excellent wedding cake baker.
About a month before the wedding, JoAnne stepped in to assist with the final wedding plans. She too was very helpful in answering all of our questions and also improved our menu to accommodate some last minute menu upgrades.
When we arrived at Hamilton Park on our wedding day, the first person who was there to greet us was JoAnne, who was all smiles. She and Scott took us to the bridal party room, which was truly a great room to relax before greeting our guests and getting ready for pictures. Scott was also very helpful in assisting us in getting ready for our garden pictures. We were able to enjoy our cocktail hour with our guests and then Scott came to take us to see the ballroom. The staff had set it up beautifully. They set up a beautiful table with our digital picture frame and other special items that guests would see when they arrived. For the reception, they moved the digital frame to the gift table.
The reception was wonderful. The flow of dinner went really well, giving people enough time to relax after the cocktail hour and enjoy the music. The food was fabulous. The salad was excellent and the chefs were very accommodating to the food allergies people had, providing several people with salads without cheese. The entrees were delicious. The dessert trays were fabulous as well. One common thread from everyone who attended our wedding was that the service was outstanding and accommodating. The staff was also very attentive to Jason and me, making sure that anything we needed was taken care of even the smallest details, like taking care of my veil. Everyone loved how the wait staff kept their drinks filled and how accommodating they were to make sure their needs were met. Friends with food allergies had their dinners adjusted or created to fit their needs.
After the reception, our family proceeded to Vanderbilt's. Everyone enjoyed the bar and great table games they could play. It was a great place for a post-wedding gathering. After the wedding Scott and the rest of the staff packed up the rest of our favors, candles, and gifts as well as the items we had stored in the bridal room and brought them to the bridal suite for us. Jason and I proceeded to the Presidential Suite and were amazed at how large the suite was. Unfortunately, we were only spending one night. But having the suite also helped because some family members were not old enough to be admitted to Vanderbilt's. So the suite was put to good use. We were sad to leave it the next day.
JoAnne and Kate helped to organize a post wedding breakfast. They reserved a section of the restaurant for our family. The food was excellent and the breakfast staff was very nice. They did not rush us to leave the breakfast room either. Everyone was very happy with everything Hamilton Park had to offer. It was a wonderful way to end our wedding weekend.
We didn't know about Hamilton Park before our search. But we will always be thankful that we found it. The staff not only helped create a spectacular wedding, but made my husband and me feel like a king and queen. I would recommend Hamilton Park to anyone who wants a worry free wedding.
Our November 7, 2009 wedding was the topic of conversation for weeks after the event. It would not have been a success without all the staff at the Hamilton Park Hotel. My husband and I met with JoAnne for the first time almost a year prior. She gave us a tour of the facility and talked with us about what to expect if we choose the Hamilton Park for our big day. The knowledge JoAnne had blew us away, she answered all the questions we had going into the meeting prior to our asking them. Immediately we felt comfortable with talking with her. We had seen a few other catering facilities and it seemed as though they were more concerned about the sale and getting that contract then about us and what we expected for our big day.
After leaving that day we got home and knew what we had to do, there was no decision to be made. Hamilton Park was it for us! We called JoAnne by that evening and began the planning process. She was always available whether it was via phone or email any question big or small was answered immediately, she was a huge help with details and was there for us every step of the way. This was extremely important to us, wedding planning is not easy, but it seemed effortless with her help. We always felt as though we were her top priority even though there were probably a half a dozen other events being planned.
The year of planning flew by and November 7 was here. When we arrived JoAnne was the first person to greet and congratulate us, and show us to our private cocktail hour room. The room was stocked with a full bar and hors d'oeuvres. Cocktail hour was amazing and the food, I was speechless. I heard many comments both that night and the weeks to follow. The choices we had were very unique, and not typical wedding fare, the strombli station, mashed potato bar and the salmon at the carving station were all a hit! It was the little things like this that helped make it a memorable day.
The entire staff was so attentive to both our needs and the needs of our guests. The room set up was amazing as well. The linens in brown with gold overlays and the brown chair ribbons were that added touch to our fall wedding. The way the room is designed also helped create the perfect wedding with the alcoves for the bars and DJ, it gave us so much room for our guests to not only dance but to get to the bars and around the tables to chat. The reception food was also unbelievable, everything was done perfectly and again the attention the staff provided was amazing. The cake was extremely good and the design was exactly what we were looking for. The ice cream bar was also a huge hit with the kids and the adults too!
At the end of the night I was shocked that we had a personal attendant waiting to assist us to take up the gifts and any other things that we needed help bringing up to the room. The presidential suite (bridal suite) left us in amazement; we had to invite several of our family members up to see it because the room was breathtaking. We certainly felt like the king and queen of the day staying in that room. Not only was the room and the assistance we received wonderful, but there was also a plate of chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne waiting there for us to enjoy.
We also took advantage of Vanderbilt's bar for an after party the wait staff there was also very courteous. Arrive restaurant was also very good; JoAnne helped us set up a breakfast for our overnight guests. We had a special area set aside for those that stayed over and the breakfast buffet was wonderful! The only bad thing was that the time went by too fast! We cannot say enough good things about the Hamilton Park Hotel or JoAnne and we will and have recommended it to our friends and families. Thank you again for making our special day even more special and memorable!
